The exclusive MODATech® fabric used in the Syzmik’s Fire Armour Orange Flame range gives high level of inherent HRC 2-10 Cal protection in a fabric that is light, soft and amazingly cool.
At Syzmik we understand that an FR garment has to be cool and comfortable enough to wear or workers will simply not wear it. To combat this we developed MODATech® Fabric that provides outstanding moisture wicking characteristics in a light 240gsm fabric that delivers high level HRC 2–10 Cal Arc Flash protection as well as EN ISO 14116:2008 and EN ISO 11612:2008 certified flame protection.
The use of a fibre called Tencel® in the MODATech® blend gives the fabric its incredible cooling and moisture wicking properties. The Tencel® Fibre has been shown to absorb 50%* more water then Cotton giving incredible moisture wicking characteristics (*Source: The fucitonal Propteries of Tencel: A Current Update 2006).
